La Riviera Maya
Puerto Morelos is the spot where the world famous Rivera Maya starts. It is a friendly, laid-back fishing village located only 25 minutes south of Cancun´s International Airport. From Playa del Carmen it is a short ferry ride to the Island of Cozumel, well-known diving spot before Cancun ever existed, and it has ranked for years among the top five dive destinations in the world. Imagine an underwater wedding ceremony in crystal clear water surrounded by tropical fish. The only town on the island is San Miguel, which, despite the growth of the last 20 years, can't be called anything more than a small town.
